Alumni Spotlight: Angela O'Keefe

As an OCCC alumna, member of Kappa Beta Delta, and 2023 inductee into the OCCC Alumni Hall of Fame, Angela O'Keefe has remained deeply connected to the college and its mission.

Today, she serves as CEO of her own Registered Investment Advisor firm, with offices in South Oklahoma City and Downtown Oklahoma City. O'Keefe credits OCCC with helping her develop the knowledge, confidence, and leadership skills that continue to guide her professional success.

"In my 40s, I decided to go back to school and earn my degree as a personal goal. OCCC reminded me that it’s never too late to challenge yourself, grow, and pursue something meaningful."

Beyond her professional accomplishments, O'Keefe continues to make a lasting impact through her volunteerism, advocacy, and commitment to education. We are proud to celebrate her achievements and grateful for her continued support of OCCC and our community.

A new large-format installation at Will Rogers International Airport is helping share the OCCC story with travelers from across Oklahoma and beyond.

The installation serves as a powerful introduction to Oklahoma City Community College's mission and impact, connecting new audiences to the educational opportunities, workforce development programs, and student success stories that define our institution.

Special recognition goes to OCCC's Print Services team, whose exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail made this project possible. Their work ensures that OCCC's presence is visible in one of the region's most highly traveled public spaces, extending awareness of the college and its commitment to serving our community.

Oklahoma City Community College recently hosted a two-day Generative AI Bootcamp in collaboration with Amazon Machine Learning University and Amazon Web Services (AWS), providing faculty, staff, and higher education leaders with hands-on training in emerging artificial intelligence technologies.

As one of only five institutions selected to lead this initiative, OCCC is helping expand access to AI education while preparing educators and students for the evolving demands of the workforce. Participants explored practical applications of generative AI, engaged in collaborative learning, and earned an OCCC micro-credential recognizing mastery of in-demand skills.

Through partnerships like this, OCCC continues its commitment to innovation, workforce development, and accessible pathways to emerging technology education.

The OCCC Library is committed to providing students with the tools they need to succeed. In addition to a vast collection of online resources, including academic articles and streaming videos, the library offers research assistance both online and in-person, as well as workshops to help students build new skills.
