OkCDA SUMMER CONFERENCE INVITED CHOIR: Join us on Monday, July 13 at 7:00pm in Petree Recital Hall for an inspired performance by Canterbury Chamber Voices, directed by Dr. Julie Yu. This choir features a few of our very own OkCDA choral directors - you won't want to miss it!
Canterbury Chamber Voices Bio: Formed in 2020, the Canterbury Chamber Voices is an auditioned ensemble drawn from the larger Canterbury Voices chorus. This select group brings artistry and versatility to every performance, appearing regularly on Canterbury Voices concerts as well as at holiday events, private gatherings, and civic occasions.
In 2021, the Chamber Voices had the honor of being among the first ensembles to perform with Dan Forrest on his composition Light Beyond Shadow with full orchestration, and that same year, they were featured in the world premiere of Of Perpetual Solace by Dr. Edward Knight, commissioned to honor the 25th anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing.
Since their debut, the ensemble has shared their music across Oklahoma City — on television and radio, at the Civic Center Music Hall, and in special concerts at the Oklahoma History Center and the Meinders Hall of Mirrors. They will present a concert at the Oklahoma Choral Directors Summer Conference in July, 2026.
