new filings! Creek freedmen tribal court case March 2026....

Motion for Temporary Restraining Order and Preliminary Injunction

In the case of Rhonda Grayson and Jeffrey Kennedy....

The filing asks the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Supreme Court to protect the voting rights of Creek Freedmen whose citizenship applications are still pending. Because they have been denied citizenship cards, they cannot register for the May Special Election.

The motion requests that the Court halt the election and extend the voter registration deadline until all Freedmen with pending applications receive their cards. If the election proceeds, it asks the Court to allow these citizens, or at least the two Respondents Grayson/Kennedy, to cast provisional ballots so they are not excluded from the democratic process.

Black Creek descendants are demanding transparency.

Civil rights attorney Damario Solomon-Simmons and his legal team have requested records from the Government Accountability Office tied to a federal report on Freedmen descendants — a report that now intersects with an ongoing Muscogee Nation Supreme Court case.

The fight over Freedmen's citizenship continues.
