We are so grateful for all of our 2019 Nigh Scholars for joining us this past week at the leadership academy! Many connections, friendships and experiences were made throughout our five day journey! Thank you to all who helped make this experience possible!

Stops #2 and #3 for our last day of the program included a tour of the Devon Tower and The Oklahoman! Students even got to test out their interviewing skills in the Oklahoman video production room!

Thank you to Bobby Stem and the Association of Oklahoma General Contractors for hosting the Nigh Scholars for lunch today! Our scholars had the opportunity to have a Q&A session with leaders from different fields including Bobby Stem, Chris Kannady, Laura Butler, Ben Harris, and Brandt Cale!

I spent last evening with the George and Donna Nigh Leadership Academy, which brings together 32 scholarship students from public and private universities across Oklahoma. In a partnership with UCO, these students spend 4 days learning about our diverse state and discussing leadership development and public service.

I shared the stage with Reps Cyndi Munson and Jason Dunnington as we gathered with these leaders for a robust conversation and Q&A. I took some tough questions and continue to be inspired by the bright minds o encounter at such events.

I also want to give special recognition to Dr Jarret Jobe from UCO. Dr Jobe is a great asset to our community and is playing a significant role in the development of these great young men and women.
