Oklahoma Academic All-Staters Created by the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence to provide news and networking opportunities for Oklahoma Academic All-State alums. David L.

OFE is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to recognizing and encouraging academic excellence in Oklahoma's public schools. Since 1987, the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence has annually selected 100 outstanding public high school seniors as Academic All-Staters. The students are honored each May at foundation's Academic Awards Banquet, a gala event attended by nearly 1,000 guests and televised statewide on OETA. Boren, chairman and founder of the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence, describes the selection of the scholars as “Oklahoma’s most rigorous academic competition.” Academic All-Staters are nominated by their principals or superintendents and are selected on the basis of academic achievement, extracurricular activities and community involvement, as well as an essay submitted by each nominee. Many Academic All-State Alumni are encouraged to stay involved with the foundation, serving as mentors in the Boren Mentoring Initiative. Many serve on foundation committees, on the Board of Trustees or as volunteers and donors. The Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence seeks news and updated contact information from its All-State Alumni. Congratulations to OFE Trustee and Academic All-State alum Amber N. Wiley, Ph.D.!

Dr. Wiley's book, Model Schools in the Model City, has been named to the short list for the Museum of African American History Stone Book Award.

🏆 Congratulations to Gibbs College's 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐍. 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐲 on her book 𝙈𝙤𝙙𝙚𝙡 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙤𝙙𝙚𝙡 𝘾𝙞𝙩𝙮, being shortlisted Museum of African American History Stone Book Award!

We've added another Academic All-State alum to the OFE team! Please welcome Morgan Harris, an Okmulgee native with more than two decades of volunteer service to OFE.

We'd like to welcome Morgan Harris as OFE's new director of operations!

An Academic All-State alumna from Okmulgee, Morgan has volunteered with our foundation for more than two decades. She received OFE's Distinguished Service Award in 2013 and was a longtime member of our Board of Trustees, serving as president-elect before stepping down to join the staff.
