Celebrated annually on May 24th, National Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) Day honors the birthday of Charles E. Taylor. As the first aviation mechanic, Taylor built the engine that powered the Wright brothers into history.

Oklahoma commands the global stage in aircraft Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO). That elite reputation relies entirely on the precision, skill, and dedication of our local mechanics.

5B is excited to announce that Graham passed his instrument checkride! Graham has been a student at 5B Aviation for almost 3 years, so we are thrilled to celebrate his accomplishment!

5B Aviation is excited to welcome Wayne Pliss as our new FBO general manager! Wayne was the chief law enforcement pilot for San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department for 27 years, he then flew Aerial Firefighting for the US Forrest Service for 8 years. Wayne has a lot of aviation experience and we are looking forward to his insights and guidance! ✈️
