💙Baldy is sending out a HUGE Congratulations to our Eagles and Entire South Community for earning a School Grade of B for the 2025-26 school year!!🎉
🌟Highlights this Year:
🔹South's F.A.S.T. overall Reading Achievement score grew 13 points from 50% to 63% proficiency which was 2 points ABOVE the state Average!!
🔹️3rd Grade Reading Achievement grew from 55% to 70% proficiency and is 10 points above the state average of 60%!
🔹️4th Grade Reading Achievement grew from 49% to 61% proficiency and is 1 point above the state average of 60%!
🔹️5th Grade Reading Achievement grew 12 points from 44% to 56% proficiency!
🔹️South's 5th Grade Science Achievement grew 14 points from 41% to 55% proficiency!
🔹️Our school grade increased overall from 51% to 56% of the 800 points possible for a final grade of a B!!

💙We are Beyond Excited to Welcome Mrs. Ashley Kidd to The Nest as our Assistant Principal! Mrs. Kidd comes to us with invaluable experiemce as an assistant principal and a school counselor. She is excited and ready to start the new school year with us in August as we support our Eagles so they all have the opportunity to SOAR!!🦅

💙We have exciting news as South was invited to host other educator visits from Florida as an AVID Showcase School starting in the 2026-27 school year!🌟
🦅We just wrapped up our 4th year as a Certifified AVID School Site! Each year, we send a team of 3-4 educators from our South Team to learn and grow within the AVID Summer Institute Experience!
🦅AVID stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination. Through this program, students focus on interests in careers, organizational and study skills/techniques, and teachers implement strategies to support these endeavors.
