Get to know the facts!
Today, farmers have reduced phosphorus in water flowing south by an annual average of 55%.

Advanced farming practices include using GPS to level fields, vegetation control, canal cleaning, and reducing soil erosion.

Because of our farmers hard work, 100% of the water in the Everglades National Park is meeting the STRICT federal clean water standards of 10ppb.

Did you know... farmers south of Lake Okeechobee (DO NOT) back pump into the lake. It’s actually a preventative measure controlled by the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) to protect lakeside communities, businesses, schools, and hospitals from flooding. In total, less then 2% of all the water entering the lake is from the southern communities.
