Equinox Reflection Practice
Today, take a moment to reflect on the seeds you’ve planted throughout the year. Have you sown beauty, ideas, and possibilities? Have you committed to growth and expansion?

Remember, your thoughts are seeds, and the manifestations in your life are the harvest.

As I finish my second cup of tea and watch the sun rise on this beautiful Autumn Equinox, I invite you to reflect on the theme of “harvest season,” which today marks.

This day also represents the perfect balance of light and dark. Traditionally, it’s a time to focus on the harvest and assess where things may have fallen out of balance. Consider the seeds you’ve planted so far this year—what thoughts and intentions have taken root and grown into your reality? Take a moment to evaluate your life: What situations and experiences are reflecting back to you right now? Are you content, or is there room for improvement?

With only 3.5 months left in 2024, ask yourself: What seeds have you planted in your relationships, business, health, and personal goals? Are they ready to be harvested, or do they need some adjustments?

At Magic Hour, our harvest often arrives during the holiday season. We plant the seeds of beautiful new products early in the year, trusting and committing to their growth. Then, during November and December, we bring everything together for our stunning gift sets—our harvest season, which also becomes a season of generosity. For us, gift-giving is not only a love language but also part of our business model.

This year, our fifth at Magic Hour, we’ll harvest the results of our efforts in creating the new Tarot teas, Goddess of Earl teas, and Divine Feminine teas. As a maker, it’s easy to focus on what’s still left to be done. But reflection practices like this one help us see what has already been planted, made, and accomplished. Be honest with yourself—what goals remain to be achieved in your growth?

Today, you have clarity. Brew a cup of tea, grab your journal, and give yourself the gift of reflection.

Make sure to honor this moment with a personal ceremony of gratitude and awareness.

Finished 3 formulas today that made us all very very happy. Blue ginger mint, Pumpkin Spice puerh, and the final Saffron Rose Congou for Scorpio. I’m going to create a series of smaller batch (50 pound) blends that will be to keep my creativity flowing & the most flavor curious of our customers dancing in the joy of healing botanicals. Also, I found a Saffron so intoxicating & potent, I felt like I was floating all day from sipping it. Can’t wait to share the creations with you. 🎁

Throwback Thursday, 3 years ago today…look how cool my kids are, I take full bragging mama rights for these beautiful humans…as fortunes rise & fall, busy-ness pervades & the Earth keeps turning, our relationships are our truest & purest gold. My garden is doing its best to continue blooming in this heat wave…going to steep this bounty into an iced tea today: Hibiscus, rose, lavender, mint, lemon, rosemary & raw honey. Keep cool loves.

Auntie Suzy is finally here in Ojai for a little while & she and Mia designed some custom Nike & Converse for Mia to dance into her new school. It takes a village, thank you to everyone (& Suzy!) who are my village raising Sage, Mia & Magic Hour. Love is more potent than anything else.

It’s only your birthday once a year! Happy birthday my dear sister, Michaela! You teach us how to be courageous through love, connection and empowerment. I’m so lucky to have you in my life! May today and all days be as blessed as you bless us—infinitely!

Nieces & nephews, parents, brothers…family! Hope your Saturday is inspiring! I’m so grateful to be connected to these lovely littles & incredibly inspired by these two young niece entrepreneurs! Indy has a bead business (at 5!) and Ayla is a lemonade stand maven. The future is bright thanks to their moms raising them to be strong & my brothers being the best dads!

Actually made it out of the thermal spring to put on eye makeup & make it into the little village for lunch. How do Italians make everything taste so goooood?!? Love this ancient little village, this family owned & operated restaurant & the soothing cavelike cafes & shops. Only here 2 more days after today & just so happy to go home to Ojai with my new sensory library to add to my teamaking craft & kiss my loves. Heaven is here on earth, should we dare to experience it…takes a crapload of courage tho’ (do i deserve that? How can i make that happen?!) Appreciate yourself to unlock your heaven.
