School is about to startup in our family, our is headed to 1st grade 📚📝🥹 I come from a family of teachers and nurses, and know that these are the most caring and important professions ever. If you’re part of a PTA/PTO/school Foundation, please consider hiring our pinhole sized cafe on wheels to treat the educators of our kiddos.

Vega of the Valley and I have done numerous events for teachers, and have dialed in a wonderful order form to streamline things. It’s allowed us to bust out 100 drinks in 2hrs at times, with the help of volunteer drink runners.

Serving and spoiling educators is one of our favorite gigs, so Ventura County folx contact us for mutual beneficial love!

In 2000, I saved my Barnes & Noble musicseller money to buy an Alvarez Yairi WY1-SB guitar, just like the one Ani DiFranco played at that time. I snuck out of my English class to win it on eBay in the school’s library. Later that year I overcame stage fright to perform “Both Hands” w/ Sarah Green at our school’s variety show. Just like a lot of people out there, I connected to her music sometime in the 90s. My first, of over a dozen shows, began at Chicago’s amazing Aragon Ballroom! It was the beginning days of my identity curiosity, and of course her music guided me on that queerness journey. My Yairi has traveled with me from the Midwest->West Coast->Midwest->East Coast->West Coast…finally settling in Ojai. It’s this small town vibe where I could offer to make complimentary coffee to someone and their crew as a thank you for the support of lyrics & melodies that guided me on my “road to find out.” Thank you Sulli Sullivan for being the amazing Guitar Tech to manifest the Ani blessing of my Yairi. So many thanks to Ojai Valley Music for bringing important and diverse culture sound grooves to Libbey Bowl 🙏🏽❤️ Thank you Ani and Righteous Babe Records for coming to Ojai, and taking time to talk to Robin Quinn and me after your epic show w/ the cricket chorus that played in the background. You are loved and beautiful 💕 If only our coffee van could go on tour with y’all ☕️🚐
