As she raised the Juneteenth flag, our Executive Director, Betty Sawyer, reflected on the significance of this day:
“The work is not done. We are standing on the shoulders of our ancestors, and through them we have the strength, courage, resilience, and perseverance to continue the fight for true freedom.”
Today we celebrate, reflect, and honor the legacy that brought us here. And the celebration continues tomorrow! Join us at the Ogden Amphitheater from 12 PM to 9 PM for our Annual Juneteenth Celebration. We can’t wait to celebrate with our community.
