Yoga and Pilates for Employees

Employee Wellness Group Exercise classes are open for registration. Classes for the summer semester will be offered in a hybrid format; attend in person or via Zoom.

Classes begin Monday, May 5. If you decide to register for the semester, please pay the course fee(s) no later than Friday, May 16. You may elect to register for one format for $25, or both formats for $45. Attend 75% of classes this semester and earn points through the Wellness Pays Rewards program.

Yoga: Mondays and Wednesdays, 12:30-1:20 pm

Pilates: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1:30-2:20 pm

Employee Wellness will add you to the class schedule once your payment has been received. This invitation will include the Zoom links.

Employee Wellness Gym Orientations

Employee Wellness will be offering gym orientations for faculty and staff. New equipment was added to the Wildcat Arena and we want to make sure you know how to use it!

Gym Orientations will be provided in four different sessions. Please register for the ones that best fit your needs:

Cardio Equipment & Fitness Assessment: Learn how to use the cardio equipment and complete a fitness assessment.
October 6
November 3

Machine Weight Equipment: Attend this orientation to familiarize yourself with the new equipment.
October 13
November 10

Flexibility and Core: Improve your flexibility and learn what equipment can be used to strengthen your core muscles.
October 20
November 17

Program Development: Take what you have learned in the above three classes and develop an exercise program that meets your needs

Employee Flu Shot Clinic This Week!

The annual Employee Flu Shot Clinic will take place this week!
Come to the Dee Events Center on:

Wednesday, September 27, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Thursday, September 28, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

This clinic is only open to WSU PEHP-benefited faculty, staff, and early retirees. You must bring your PEHP card and photo ID with you.

Walk-up appointments are available, but employees are strongly encouraged to reserve an appointment time here:

You may drive to the Dee Events Center and park, or take the UTA Ogden Express shuttle from campus. Please enter the Dee Events Center through the east entrance. Be sure to visit the Human Resources Benefits table on your way out to complete a quick survey about your experience.

Those who complete the survey will be entered into a drawing for two upgraded seats to the Homecoming football game on Saturday, October 14.

Healthy for Life- Cooking Demonstrations

Expand your cooking skills by attending this cooking demonstration series. This semester, Employee Wellness will provide information on how to become a savvy grocery shopper. Information presented during this series is provided by the American Heart Association.

This cooking demonstration series will consist of seven classes. Register for all classes or only the ones that interest you the most. Participants will work in groups to prepare a recipe during each class.
