Props to the multi-talented Beau! He goes from piano lessons with Sue, to guitar lessons with me and managed to solve a rubix cube as well that was just hanging out at the church! Also he is crushing the intro and chords to Johnny Cash’s ‘Ring of Fire’ and working on melodies in D Major using the 2nd position! Nice work!!

Student spotlight on everyone today! We had a great recital! First one for the studio!! So incredibly proud! 😊😊😊 We do have one spot open over the 2 o’clock hour on Wednesday, (right after oelwein schools let out) for the spring semester. You could learn piano, guitar, or any band instrumental lessons as well! We’d love to have you join us next time! 😊🎶 Adults are welcome, too! I give out some adult lessons for the church (training up some future worship leaders!) it’s never too late to learn something new!

Student Spotlight!!

Helen started taking lessons this summer and is in her Primer Level B books! We love playing all the duets together, which is a great skill in building part independence! One of the things I love about this video is how you can see Helen keeping track of the beat! Great job, Helen! (Also, notice my little side kick? He is always SO excited to see Helen! She has helped him learn to stomp and 'jump'...she should really be charging me!! LOL )

Sooo accurate! Especially when you’re a guitar student learning your first three-fingered chord! Don’t give up! *singing* just keep practicing, just keep practicing….

Seriously out of all the instruments I’ve taught: including band, piano, guitar…that first 3-fingered chord is definitely the one that requires the most patience for many! But stick it out! Your fingers build muscle and start to figure out what you’re trying to do! 😊😊👏🏻👏🏻

This one made my day yesterday!! For school, she completed a worksheet where she wrote ‘I like to play piano’. We’ve been working on drawing and identifying treble and bass clefs in music and she nailed them in her drawing below! Her notes are looking great, too!! 🥰🥰 How special she thought to write piano, too! So glad you’re loving it, li’l lady... I am, too!!! 🤗🥰

Do you homeschool and wish your kids could experience group music class? Well, two homeschool moms came together and made that happen with joyful jams studio! ☺️☺️ we had fun singing, moving, doing a little writing, playing music games, and doing a little bit of bucket drumming!

The littlest kids came and played for free with some of the ‘ bigger kid’ material we were covering. However, I would love to do a 3/4 year-old music exploratory class! I’d say if any siblings of 3 & 4 year olds are two and under, just come for fun and for free! 😊😊 message me if you are interested and we can get a group going!
