Urgent Help needed! There will be many calls for various assistance over the coming weeks to answer the impact of hurricane “Harvey,” but this is one that we have been made aware of first hand. First Responders from across the state have been working for days without a break at the coast performing rescues and are currently in desperate need of fresh clean socks, underwear, and t-shirts. Many have not been able to go home and change out of wet clothes for days, and some of their own residences are flooded or destroyed.

This is a “flash” need of assistance, as we would like to have everything collected by 12midnight on Thursday (8/31) and send the item on their way to the coast very early Friday morning, (9/1). Please drop off NEW packaged socks (preferably dark colored), underwear, and t-shirts for both men and women in a variety of sizes at the Leander Police Department by Thursday night midnight, and we will see that it is delivered to the First Responders who are in need along the Texas Coastal Region and in Houston.
