Dreaming of being Bruce Lee after my father took me to a Bruce Lee movie; I took an Interest in the martial arts as very small child. My father casually enrolled me into a school around corner of our house thinking I will not stick with it. He then proceeded to take me to an karate demonstration after that; I was hooked. Getting more serious about the martial arts and martial arts training in my preteens, I
began my life long journey in the Martial Arts resulting in over 39 years of training in the martial arts with Black Belts in Tae Kwon Do and Tang Soo Do including formalized training in Ju Jitsu and Filipino Arts. Nothing that I have accomplished in the arts could not have been achieved without having amazing Instructors like Grandmaster Mike Fillmore, Grandmaster Able Villarreal, and Grandmaster Rodney Kauffman along with many more martial artist and Instructors who has had a direct Influence in my martial art life. With many rank promotions through the years like my 4th Dan in 2002, 5th Dan in 2009, 6th Dan in 2010, then I was blessed by the Lord himself and the belief in me by many fellow martial artist, I was promoted to 7th Dan Grandmaster 2017, and 8th Dan Grandmaster in 2018.

Grand Master Gabriel Green was born in Los Angeles in 1966. After the earthquake of 1971, his family moved back home to Texas. In 1977, he started training in Tang Soo Do at the Boys Club under Grand Master Clarence (Daddy-O) Smith. After taking a short break to do the “traditional sport” thing, he went back to the Martial Arts Academy in 1978 training with Grand Masters James Cummings, George Howard, and Danny Valdez. Grand Master Green received his 1st Dan in 1983. While training at MAA, he received training in Okinawa Kenpo, Shotokan Karate, and Tai Chi.
By 1988, Grand Master Green had graduated from college and obtained his 3rd Dan in Tang Soo Do. With a Computer Science degree and not much computer work, he decided to move back “home” to California. Moving in 1989, he arrived in the San Francisco Bay Area just in time for the big Loma Prieta earthquake that rocked the Bay Area.
After moving to California, Grand Master Green tried a number of different arts and schools before landing in the art of Shaolin Chuan Fa (Shaolin Kenpo). While training in the art of Shaolin Kenpo, earning the rank of 1st Dan in 2001, he starting training in the Filipino Martial Art of ESKABO Daan. The name is an acronym for the fighting styles Eskrima [E], Serrada [S], Kali [K], Arnis [A], Boxing [B] and Jeet Kune Do [O]. Daan means the way. In 2002, Grand Master Green earned the rank of G**O in ESKABO Daan.
Getting back in touch with his martial arts roots, Grand Master Green joined the Tang Soo Do Karate Association (TKA) and received his 4th Dan, Master Level, in 2002 from his original Grand Master James Cumminings. In 2006, Grand Master Green had the pleasure of going to China to train at the Shaolin Temple with the monks. While in China, he also tested and received his 2nd Dan in Shaolin Kenpo.
Grand Master Green continues his training in the martial arts. In 2009 he was inducted into the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame. He continues to teach and train in the arts of ESKABO Daan, Shaolin Kenpo (earning 3rd Dan in 2014), and Tang Soo Do (earning 7th Dan in 2015).
