St. Martin High School Lady Yellow Jackets Volleyball

We want to thank Coach Yates for hosting an amazing clinic today with the girls. We are thankful she took the time to show the team some new offensive and defensive scenarios.

Come out and cheer on our amazing multi sport athletes as a good chunk of our roster plays on the basketball team!! This will be a fun filled day of games!!

Varsity came to PLAY today! They went 2-1; the 60-minute running clock was not our friend, LOL. We tied up with Harrison Central, so we agreed to both take the W, dropped a timed-out 3rd set to St. Pats, and swept Pearl River Central!
This Varisty Squad has a chip on their shoulder, and they are looking to show the world they are here to PLAY! A lot of people commented on how huge a turnaround this squad has made in less than a year!

Today was JV's first dance as well. Although they went 0-2, they played some AMAZING volleyball and will come back stronger than ever! They played a very tough D'Iberville JV squad and a stout Gulfport JV squad. We will see them again during the season, and make no mistake, we will be ready!

Kinsley- 2 Aces, 5 Kills, 5 Digs, and 1 Block
Lena- 4 Aces, 1 Kill, 3 Assists, and 2 Digs

This JV Team is not going to let this day define them; they are already ready to move on and move up!

Today was the Freshmen Teams' first dance...a little rocky start, but they gained traction along the way. They finished the day at 1-1, playing a talented Hancock and Pearl River Central teams.

The Lady Yellow Jackets are back at it today in Gulfport. This time, all 3 squads are suiting up!

Update: Varsity will be playing a 3rd match at 3pm. So Varsity is 1p, 3p, and 5p

Due to the uncertainty of the weather we are going to cancel practice today. Be safe and we will see you all on Monday.

1-2 for the first outing after 2 weeks of work isn’t bad at all. There were so many positives today…the hits, the blocks, serves were all good. This is a new team and they are gonna be ready for next Tuesday!

Dropped a tough one against Gautier. But the team looks good and we know what to work on.
