OGYC Junior Sailors are fundraising for a very exciting and very necessary item! Meet the MOBI MAT! This mat will ensure a quick and safer way for all sailors to launch their boat from our beach. This will save time and stress during our busy sailing season! Boats will easily to be able to glide down the mat without being stuck in the sand! Private donations may to be made to our program or support us by coming to our pasta fundraiser or taco fundraiser! We appreciate any donation big or small!

It’s a tradition! We will see you at the races! Every Sunday starting 6/28, open to Opti A, B, sunfish and laser fleets. Breakfast starts at 8am, bar opens at 11am and hot dog cart after races. See you there!

’Twas the night before sailing at Ocean Gate Yacht Club,
And all through the bay,
The Optis lay waiting
For dawn’s windy play.
The Sunfish were lined up,
The Lasers stood tall,
With life jackets hanging
Along the rack wall.

Young sailors dreamed softly
Of tacking just right,
Of racing on Barnegat Bay
Through sunshine so bright.

And out by the docks
Coach Alison said:
“Fair winds in the morning —
Now sailors, to bed!” ⛵️

Duck Boat Fundraiser Saturday May 30th

What are duck boats?! Duck boats go back to 1836 and are a living piece of NJ maritime history! They are true icons of our Barnegat Bay. Each year, Mantoloking Yacht Club hosts the World Duck Boat Championship Regatta.

In order to keep this tradition and history alive, these historic sailboats need restoration and care. Our club benefits financially from this and our Junior sailors are honored to be sailing them each year. Please consider coming to our fundraiser. This Saturday, May 30th we will have a presentation about the boats, good food and fun! We hope to see you there! 🦆⛵️
