Starting tomorrow I’m going to try something new at the Oberlin Farmers Market and the Oberlin Winter Market. With so many fall flavors and recipes to choose from, I have a hard time limiting what I bake. With that in mind, each week that I’m there, I will have a new “feature” scone and a new “feature” cupcake. Tomorrows’s selections:

It’s a rare Friday night when I’m able to go out and not be stressed about baking for Saturday’s Farmers Market! Don’t know what I did differently this week but Wayne and I just got back from a nice evening at the Elyria Apple Festival and I’ll still get to bed before midnight!!

Come out to the Oberlin Farmers Market tomorrow between 9am and 12:00 pm for your shopping needs. Then stop by my tent to treat yourself to a scone or cupcake for all your hard work!!

After being gone for 3-4 weeks, Drury Lane Bakery will be back to the Oberlin Farmers Market tomorrow, July 4th!! Due to the high temperatures, I’ve modified the menu a bit! I will have Lemon Blueberry Scones, Orange Scones, and Strawberry Scones for their usual price of $3.00 each. THERE WILL BE NO CUPCAKES! In their place, I will be selling slices of Apple Bars, Lemon Bundt Cake,
Chocolate Streusel Coffee Cake, and Blueberry Breakfast Cake. Each slice will sell for $5.00 each.

I’m sorry for any inconvenience this may cause but frosting doesn’t hold up very well in these temperatures! (I don’t either!)

Hey everyone!! Looking forward to being back at the Oberlin Farmers Market next week but so excited for my adventure today!
Come on out to Elyria’s Juneteenth Celebration located on the square from Noon till 5:00 pm. Show your support for our African-American brothers and sisters as they celebrate their freedom from the atrocities of slavery, enjoy the vendors, food trucks, and your’s truly with 12 different cupcake flavors!

The woman mentioned in this article is my mother. A faithful child of God who can probably count on one hand the number of Sundays she has missed worship in her almost 93 years! Not a perfect person (non of us are) but a great example of love and what it means to be Christian. Proud to be her daughter!

What a week of baking!! It’s been crazy! I don’t think I’ve had a full nights sleep since Wednesday!!
First up was 30 extra large cookies to replenish my shelf at Bailey’s Farm Market (61 S Main St. Oberlin). Next was simultaneously working on items for the first day of the outdoor Oberlin Farmers Market and a special cake for Sunday’s celebration of Sol Rizzato,our Worship and the Arts Director, who will be moving out of state. That’s a total of 38 scones, 5 dozen cupcakes, 9 individual cakes to create the 3 tiers. Sunday evening, began the making of 9 batches of scones to deliver to Oberlin College at the Cat and The cream for a total of 120 scones mini scones. (Scones were a treat for students decorating their graduation caps!)
Tonight’s final bake was a batch of Bacon Bourbon Chocolate Chip Cookies that our Granddaughter Oliviya requested for her 17th birthday last week.

Now it’s to bed for a full nights sleep and a day off !
