The woman mentioned in this article is my mother. A faithful child of God who can probably count on one hand the number of Sundays she has missed worship in her almost 93 years! Not a perfect person (non of us are) but a great example of love and what it means to be Christian. Proud to be her daughter!

Surprised by the breath of the Spirit Sunday morning, I attended worship at a nearby church. The people were warm and gracious. What a week of baking!! It’s been crazy! I don’t think I’ve had a full nights sleep since Wednesday!!
First up was 30 extra large cookies to replenish my shelf at Bailey’s Farm Market (61 S Main St. Oberlin). Next was simultaneously working on items for the first day of the outdoor Oberlin Farmers Market and a special cake for Sunday’s celebration of Sol Rizzato,our Worship and the Arts Director, who will be moving out of state. That’s a total of 38 scones, 5 dozen cupcakes, 9 individual cakes to create the 3 tiers. Sunday evening, began the making of 9 batches of scones to deliver to Oberlin College at the Cat and The cream for a total of 120 scones mini scones. (Scones were a treat for students decorating their graduation caps!)
Tonight’s final bake was a batch of Bacon Bourbon Chocolate Chip Cookies that our Granddaughter Oliviya requested for her 17th birthday last week.

Now it’s to bed for a full nights sleep and a day off !

I know it’s getting late, but before you go to bed, set your alarm!! Tomorrow is the first day for the outdoor Oberlin Farmers Market, located in the Police/Library parking lot on South Main St! The morning weather looks perfect!!☀️☀️The outdoor market hours are 9:00am-Noon!

I wanted to post this yesterday but had a hard time finding the picture! I made this cake for a House Kentucky Derby party about 20 years ago! (Can’t believe that!). The family won a gift certificate that had donated as part of an Oberlin Choristers Fundraiser.

Kay grows all of her own flowers and makes her beautiful arrangements from flowers that are blooming at the time. I’ve never seen an arrangement I haven’t liked!!
