Your Oakwood FFA members took the night on at Prom! We all had such a great time and for some of us it was our last, but some it was their first. We loved seeing everyone out on dance floor all dressed up!

Today Jazzmin Quick, Rycelyn Cunningham, Emmett Grimm, Airianna Stephens, and Keelie Moore went out to the Georgetown Fair grounds and got do livestock judging. Unfortunately none of us placed too well but we all still had a great time.

Xander Wilson and keelie Moore went to public speaking on April 15th. Xander participated in prepared speech, keelie participated in exempt.

Keelie also got 2nd and is advancing to district on May 2nd.

Happening today!! We're set up from 12pm-4pm, INSIDE the fire station due to the cold and possible rain today. So dont be worried that we arent set up when you dont see us outside.

Please make sure toys are new and in the packaging when given.

Hello community of Oakwood! FFA will be hosting a toy drive at Oakwoods Fire station on April 18 from 12-4pm. We encourage you all to help as these toys will be donated to shriners children hospital in Chicago IL. We would appreciate new toys for ages that range from newborn to 12 years old.

Anything is appreciated no matter how little or much you contribute. Please just make sure these are not used toys and they are brand new in the packaging.

Two of your Oakwood FFA officers went to Parkland for the Horticulture CDE. While there, we got to create a floral arrangements, plant identification, tool identification, plant judging, and an exam. We also got to keep our floral arrangements

Today your Oakwood FFA went to the grade school and got to teach the 8th graders about what all the ag classes are about. To teach them we did an escape room for plant science, animal science, environmental science, ag orientation, and then about the FFA Officer positions. after they completed the escape room us officers and members talked about our favorite CDE's or events we have gone too, some of these events/CDE's included National Convention, meat judging, livestock judging, and food science. We hope to have gotten some of the 8th graders on board to join FFA or just ag classes in general.
