ADVENTURES OUTSIDE w/my GANG🌲

Despite forgetting to slather my décolletage with SPF and burning the s**t out of it, a spectacular and deeply nourishing time was had.
•
THE BENNIE of TIME SPENT OUTDOORS, DOING “NEW” THINGS, in the company PEOPLE YOU DIG
- more energy in general
- increased motivation
- better problem solving
•
This stacks nicely with the capacity I’ve gained from losing my carpool job. 😉 (see previous post “Personal Brag”)

ADVENTURES OUTSIDE w/my GANG🌲

Despite forgetting to slather my décolletage with SPF and burning the s**t out of it, a spectacular and deeply nourishing time was had.

PERSONAL BRAG
…because, I’m doin’ the work too! 😉
•
While I’ve SO enjoyed the time spent in the car with my boys as I dropped them off and picked them up from school (even when they weren’t talking to me), I currently find myself out of a job. 😜
•
It’s entirely possible that my youngest will require my services again at some point.
•
And, for the meantime, in between time I’m allowing for the empty space to linger on my calendar for a minute vs. swiftly filling it with the business of all. the. things.
•
Sometimes creating space for “nothing in particular” frees us up to connect with what we didn’t know we needed.
•
For me, that was rest, boredom, impromptu movement, spontaneous errands or activities, mind wandering - all WITHOUT RUSHING.
•
The result? Feeling more tapped in to my creativity, feeling more rested, feeling ready to take on work projects I didn’t previously have the capacity for.
•
And that’s a BIG win. 🏆
•
If you’re not already in the practice, the next time you have space open up on your calendar, try experimenting with NOT filling it and see what unfolds. ✨

“I put on an outfit I haven’t worn in several months and was surprised to find it was too big.”
•
This discovery meant she’d have to go shopping for a new fit.
•
She’s not a fan of shopping, but I’ll tell you what - her husband IS and this created the perfect opportunity for him to do something HE enjoys that has bennies for both of them.
•
Moral of the story?Sometimes working towards our goals brings us closer to the ones we love. ❤️
