Talk about mixed media! I had a random idea to do this drawing of dogwood flowers (Cornus florida - and the state flower of my home state Virginia!) with each flower in a different medium. Watercolor pencil, pen stippling, pen sketch, and graphite. Which do you like best? @ Oakland, California

Ever eat one of those Dove Promises chocolates? Well, A, they're delish. And B, they include little words of affirmation inside the wrappers, so what's not to love. I've had one of those wrappers stuck on my fridge for a couple years now. It simply says "book the flight." So on this lovely Monday, maybe you can use this little push to stop overthinking something, and just go with your gut.

Dear Fellow Budding Entrepreneur, there is room for you. There is no one quite like you. There may be a thousand people that are, categorically, in business like you. But none of them do things quite like you do. It’s literally impossible. Dear Amazingly Talented You, there will be people who don’t like what you do. People who tell you you’re doing it wrong. People who will “well actually” you to death (or at least crying into a corner) until you become convinced they’re right. There will also be, in even greater measure, people who admire you from a distance. People who will take some great action in their own life, inspired directly by watching you. People whose lives you will change by doing things exactly the way you do them. Dear Fiercely Irreplaceable You, you need to keep showing up…for them.
