Off the Grid Backyard Farm

It’s amazing what can be done with 1200 sq ft of plantable backyard space. Couple dozen more plants to plant and I’m done planting for the 2023 season. Drips all in, turn the valve on, have a glass of wine and watch the plants grow.

Tomatoes, Plums, Apricots.....you just can’t get this organic quality from the local markets.

To be able to make a salad from what you grow in your backyard, that’s truly organic is something everyone should be doing. There is over 200 millions pounds a year of pesticides used on California Farms.

Reported use in California has remained consistent over the past twenty years at about 200 million pounds of active ingredients each year. This figure only includes farm use and professional pesticide use. Not included are consumer and much institutional pesticide use. Also not included in this figure are so-called ‘inert’ ingredients. U.S. pesticide use is about one billion pounds each year, and worldwide pesticide use is about 5 billion pounds each year.

So basically the spike in all the diseases is a direct result of all the Glyphosate contaminating , the water, air, soil and food.
