As aforementioned, the MVRHS GSA is student-run club that brings together LGBTQ and straight students to support each other, provide a safe place to socialize, and create a platform for activism to fight homophobia and transphobia. The GSA at MVRHS helps provide support and safety with our confidentiality policy, helping students to ask questions in a stress-free environment. It also is a social

group where students working for the same cause can come together to talk and be in a safe space where their identity is valued and respected. In addition, the MVRHS GSA takes charge in activism and events, such as the Boston Youth Pride Parade. The GSA strives to make our school and our Island a better, and more queer-friendly place.
