At the end of the last school year, I decided to resign from my position as a first grade teacher from the Des Moines school district to offer other educational experiences.
I am currently in the process of getting licensed to care for and educate students in my home.
Pros
Maximum amount of students that I can work with is 8. (less exposure to the virus).
I accept Child Care Assistance from the state.
More rigorous education to meet district standards from a licensed educator.
Once licensed, I will qualify for the healthy food program.
We will get outside for plenty of exercise.
CPR and First Aid certified
Every teacher’s dream of a small class for individualized instruction!
Everything will be sanitized at the end of every day to stop the spread of covid 19.
The students will learn the importance of and the proper way to wash hands.
My wife works from home and is a licensed substitute.
Our address is in Norwalk but I am 5 min away from highway 69 and Dakota (before Indianola).
