I started this business with nothing. No facility, no investors, no safety net.
I reserved library conference rooms and rented hotel conference rooms, set up my manikins on folding tables, and opened the door for whoever showed up.
One class a week. Then two. Then three.
Every student who walked through those borrowed spaces was a small piece of something I was building entirely by hand.
From those hotel rooms and library tables, Valentine Training Services has grown into a dual-location operation with its own dedicated facilities — a training center in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania serving the Pittsburgh area, and a beautiful professional space at a ballet studio in Cincinnati.
I teach alongside a team that includes an LPN, a retired EMT, and a Registered Nurse. …I still personally teach every Cincinnati class myself, because the standard I set in that first rented room is the standard every class has to meet.
One credential stands above the rest: I am an official American Heart Association Training Site. That designation is not handed out. It requires rigorous vetting, ongoing compliance, and demonstrated instructional quality at the highest level. What it means practically is that Valentine Training Services can certify instructors inside large organizations — giving hospitals, school systems, nursing home chains, and construction companies the ability to build and maintain their own in-house training capacity. It is the single most powerful differentiator we have, and earning it …while running a two-city operation as a solo founder is something I am genuinely proud of.
We have trained over 1,000 students in 2026 alone, and revenue has grown more than 230% year over year. This is not a story about luck or timing. It is a story about showing up, one class at a time, until the business became something real.
