Northford Preschool Academy is a new learning opportunity for children ages 3-5. Our focus is on pre-academic skills and academic readiness. This is all done in an atmosphere of fun with an emphasis on positive social interaction. The director and head teacher has 10 years of teaching experience in the North Branford School system. Children learn as they play and explore. Our center based classroo

m gives each child the opportunity to develop their cognitive, creative expression, language, social/emotional and sensorimotor skills. NPA has adopted the Read, Play Learn curriculum by Toni Lindor. It is an innovative play based curriculum for children ages 3-6. Each day begins with the reading of the story followed by a range of activities. As soon as the children enter the classroom they see that stories and books are the center of their world. Each exposure to the story helps them grow in a different way. Read, Play and Learn capitalizes on children's natural preferred activity-PLAY- to promote and enhance pre-literacy skills.
