🌿🍍Tropical Kale Smoothie🍍🌿

This green smoothie is packed with nutrition from the 2 heaping cups of kale inside but the frozen tropical fruit masks that dark leafy green flavor and makes for one delicious drink! This smoothie is definitely kid-approved and a great way to start the day or get your greens in during snack time.

🌟Learn to Love Veggies Tip🌟
Exposing children to kale in a smoothie form is a great first recipe for kiddos that may be too scared to try it in a salad, as "chips", or a baked good yet. Have your child help make this smoothie with you so they can watch the dark leafy greens transform into a pretty light green smoothie!

Here's the recipe and be sure to lettuce know if you make it!💚

Harriet and I had a fabulous time with Kelli Hanson and TJ Therrien yesterday on Twin Cities Live!

The hosts sure made her feel special and I'm so proud of her bravery on the show. This is a gal that's been in speech therapy for the past few years going on live t.v. and answering the hosts questions like a rock star! I just love seeing her confidence grow💚

We made some Cauli-Power Pasta and a Kid-Friendly Chopped Salad with Strawberry Dressing, I'll post the link to the segment later this week!

Outrageous Orange Granola 🥣🥕🍠

Did you know you can add veggies to granola!? This granola is packed with an orange veggie punch (pumpkin, sweet potato, and carrot) and it tastes delicious!

Our Outrageous Orange Granola is the perfect topping for yogurt, great to eat with milk, or just by the spoonful🥣This recipe was developed by Eat Pretty Darling for Veggie Buds Club and you can find it on our blog now: https://www.veggiebudsblog.com/blog/outrageous-orange-granola

Learn to Love Veggies Tip🥕
Ask your child how many orange veggies and fruits can they think of? Take turns! They say an orange veggie/fruit, then you say an orange veggie/fruit, and so on. Making veggies "fun" and part of a game will make them less "scary" at meal time.

Happy Valentine's Day, veggie friends! 💗

We're sharing one of our favorite beet recipes for the occasion... these beet-iful Beet Chocolate Donuts😍🍩 Chocolate and beets together might sound a little strange at first, but the naturally earthy flavor of beets matches really well with rich, sweet chocolate.

Learn to Love Veggies Tip:
This is the perfect recipe to make with both beet skeptics and beet lovers because what child (or adult😁) doesn’t get excited by donuts, right?? Make sure to get all the ingredients out and ready to go (even measure some ahead for younger children) so you can have more fun and less mess baking up some donuts together!

If you don't have a donut pan you can cook this batter in a mini muffin pan for "donut holes"- find the recipe now on our blog: https://www.veggiebudsblog.com/blog/beet-chocolate-baked-donuts

Strawberry Banana (& Cauliflower!) Smoothie 🍓🍌💮

Give the classic Strawberry Banana Smoothie a veggie-boost with some added CAULIFLOWER! You won't be able to taste or see the cauliflower and your smoothie will include a daily serving of veggies, it's a win-win!

Who else just LOVES to add frozen cauliflower to their smoothies?! This white veggie has a lot of nutritious cauli-power because it's rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds. Also, cauliflower is an excellent source of vitamin C, it acts as a great immunity-booster during flu-season by protecting the body from infections and common colds.

You can find this *NEW* simple 4-ingredient smoothie recipe on our blog:

In this book children will learn that good food doesn't begin on a store shelf with a box, it comes from a garden bursting with life, color, sounds, smells, sunshine, moisture, birds, and bees🌞🐝 Kids will find a variety of fruits and vegetables, from carrots to broccoli, and apples to onions. For each vegetable, a tasty, kid-friendly recipe is included which makes also makes this book a healthy cookbook! 🌟We looooove when children's books include recipes!
