As we close out June and head into July, we'd like to take a moment to congratulate and recognize our 2026 team award and CSL award winners.

A special shoutout to for winning his second consecutive CSL South Player of the Year award and being named to the IHSBCA and First Team All-State teams and / Region 4 All-Region Team.

Summer camp ended much the same way this season began… Rain. However, today we were able to make the most of it with our annual slip-and-slide wiffle ball game.

Thank you to all of our players who attended camp, and good luck with your Summer seasons!

Champions beat the Spartans 2-1 in a heavyweight bout in the Sectional Final. It was a hard-fought game by both teams, and the tension was palpable until the very end. Unfortunately, the bounces didn't fall our way.

That said, this team was something special. After being swept by Maine South at the end of April, in what was a tough-to-stomach loss, the squad finished the year 14-3. They got punched and punched back. The goal is to play our best baseball in May/June, and they did just that. We are so proud of this group that truly became a family.

To our 17 seniors and three senior coaches, thank you. Thank you for embracing , for embodying the 3 A's, and for making every game and practice with you an enjoyable experience. We will miss you, but you have left the jersey in a better place.

Spartans survive and advance against the Trevs thanks to another incredible pitching performance by Harper Williams, lock down defense, and timely hitting, especially James Mathew’s 2-run 3B. Final score from Kerry Wood Field, 4-1.

For the 6th straight season, the Spartans are Regional Champions! Dean Miller and Alex Soriano pitched magnificently for the 2nd straight year with Miller getting his 2nd career regional championship victory and Soriano earning his first career regional championship save. Ethan Bass’s 1st inning solo shot, his 12th, broke Coach Kipnis’s GBN single-season home run record.

On Friday night, we held our first annual “Sandlot” practice and final program practice of the regular season. Players were allowed to wear their old-school uniforms or their favorite MLB uniforms while we completed our defensive drill series at the Northbrook Legion field. Congratulations to our lower-levels on successful 2026 seasons:

Spartans walk-off the 12th-ranked Wildcats in the final game of the regular season. Dylan Hirsch’s line drive down the left field line plates Madden Williams to give the squad an 8-7 victory.
