Tried a little country scene! Landscapes are not my thing but I'm trying out some new things.

The suggestion of a chicken is not a phrase I thought I would hear myself say...

Submitted this right whale watercolor to the Massachusetts Environmental Trust Call To Artists on the 1st. Super exciting to submit to a call like that.

Right whales are a little out of my wheel house. helped me so much! My version turned out a little bit more interpretive than hers, the water is more abstract for sure.

I feel like I learned so much on this painting. I love all the colors, with Prussian Blue and Neutral Tint doing most of the heavy lifting. Winsor green steals the show, in my opinion (that mint color).
