I am gearing up for the fall semester, which begins on September 9. Text me at 978-201-9178 to claim your free lesson, and ask me about the Music Mind Games classes I will be doing with my young beginners. These musicianship classes employ singing and movement, and prepare students for music reading through a series of games that introduce an integral and landmark approach to music reading.

Katherine Chen, 14 yo, just completed a 3 week program at the Boston University Tanglewood Institute in Lenox, where she worked with such luminaries as Yefim Bronfman, Orli Shahan and Paul Lewis. Katherine had several opportunities to perform both solo piano and chamber works while at the Institute. What an awesome opportunity!!

I recently received a wonderful email from my student Sanjay Rangamani's mom:
"Hi Eleanor,
The quintet that Sanjay joined recently got the gold pin award in MICAA (Massachusetts Instrumental and Choral Conductor's Association). The judge's comments for the piano were about balance ("don't be too loud, it's not your show") and feeling the music horizontally (rather than only vertically) which have been your comments for him since he began playing the piano!
The group has decided to continue to play together and work on other pieces since they had so much fun preparing for MICAA.
None of this would have been possible without your excellent tutoring and mentorship!
Cheers,
Priya"

I am so excited to have recently opened a new piano studio in Northampton! Love living in the valley and hanging with my coho friends at Village Hill Cohousing. Are you thinking about piano lessons? Why not book a complimentary lesson with me? Just send me a Facebook message or an email!
