🦒🍂 Homeschool Day at Lazy 5 Ranch is October 26!

This sounds like a fun mix of learning and fall adventures! Kids will explore a sheep shearing unit study, practice shearing, take home a wool sample, and make a craft. 🐑

Afterward, choose a wagon ride or drive through to feed the animals. Fall activities are included, too, with pumpkins available at varying prices. 🎃

There’s no rigid schedule, no one-size-fits-all structure. Instead, we create a learning environment where our children are free to grow through curiosity, creativity, and real-life experiences.

Some days are filled with hands-on learning and exploration. Other days are slower, allowing time to rest, reset, and simply be—and that’s just as important.

Homeschool teens often carry a lot beneath the surface — stress, big emotions, overthinking, and pressure to “have it together.”

This free, 4-week virtual workshop series is designed specifically for homeschool teens ages 13–17, offering practical, real-life tools in a calm, supportive space that respects teens’ comfort and autonomy.

🌿 What we focus on:
• Understanding stress and big emotions
• Tools for anxiety and overthinking
• Emotional regulation and communication skills
• Practical self-care strategies that actually help

💻 What to expect:
• Small classes
• Camera optional after check-in
• Participation always optional
• No forced sharing
• Educational and skills-focused (not group therapy)

North Carolina is still way behind states like Florida when it comes to supporting homeschooling — however, THIS IS AWESOME!!!! “Access to Sports and Extracurriculars for All” is a similar law to Florida’s where homeschoolers can utilize the public schools for sports, clubs, etc.

Now that we live in a more rural area, there aren’t big “rec” teams for sports like we had in the city. Homeschoolers that want to do wrestling, for example, would have to travel really far to find a team. With this, they can try out for the wrestling team at their local public school!

Why is this fair? Because as homeschoolers, we still pay taxes that go to the public school system. So yes, we should have access to these programs!

The problem is, this bill has been SITTING since February!!!
