Dear Younger Me,

You won’t always feel misunderstood.

There will be people who leave, hurt you, choose everyone but you, and decide you’re “too much.” There will be moments when you question your worth and wonder if life will ever feel like something you actually want to be here for.

But keep going.

One day, you’ll realize that choosing to live your life for you, your way was worth every moment you spent refusing to become who others wanted you to be.

You’ll find yourself.

Not the version everyone expected. Not the version you thought you had to be. You.

And the resilience that kept you here—even when you didn’t want to be—will become the same strength that carries you through the darkness and into a life you never thought you’d have.

One day, you’ll wake up excited about the possibilities ahead.

The hard work will pay off.

They may never admit they were wrong for how they treated you. They may never see themselves as in the wrong.
