One thing my family has been focusing on this summer is taking advantage of everything that the North Tonawanda Public Library has to offer! I wasn't sure if Philip was going to enjoy the story hours and craft times, but he has fully embraced it! Keep up to date on their events calendar!

They also have this really well thought out summer reading program, where you pick up a Bingo board and you have to read all different types of books and do different activities. The goal is to fill the board, but really do as much as you can and then the kids can enter for prizes! Deadline for board submission is August 29th so there's plenty of time to stop in and grab your board and get done what you can!

50 years ago, the citizens of North Tonawanda at the time buried a time capsule to be opened this year! I was honored to be part of this wonderful event.

Although I do hope to be here 50 years from now to open up the one that was buried this year, I am more so hopeful that my son Philip will be able to attend its future opening and maybe remember back on this day fondly!

We had so much fun at Canal Fest on the River this week! Great job to the organizers, looking forward to next year!

Honored to have been a small part of the opening ceremonies for Canal Fest. Couldn't have said this better myself...change isn't always bad and I give kudos to the Canal Fest committee for trying something so new and different, rather than letting the fest fade away...considering the impact that would have on many local non-profits. Welcome to Gratwick Park in the 1st Ward for this wonderful tradition!

Wednesday is the car show, Thursday is the laser light show, Friday is the bike show and Saturday & Sunday is the craft show! Looking forward to the rest of the week!

We loved celebrating 4th of July in North Tonawanda yesterday! We always head to the kids parade at Pine Woods Park, and then we of course went to Webster St for an amazing firework show! I hope you all have a great holiday weekend.
