SkillsUSA District 4 members Hailey, Alissa and Aisa are competing in the American Spirit competition this weekend at TSTC, Waco. They made a cookbook that included all of the CTE programs and their description here at the Birdville Center of Technology and Advanced Learning. They delivered the cookbooks to the middle and high school counselors to promote career and technology education in our community.

Cosmetology SkillsUSA members from Birdville Center of Technology and Advanced Learning are involved in the American Spirit competition, recently brought home-baked goods, donated by the Cosmetology class, to the U.S. Army Recruiting and Navy Recruiting Offices. The students hope that the homemade goods will help show their appreciation for the services men and women in various military branches provide and hope it will support and honor their work.

Cosmetology SkillsUSA members from Birdville Center of Technology and Advanced Learning, who are involved in the American Spirit competition, recently donated gifts to the Denton County Friends of the Family for young girls who have been sexually abused or in any way been victimized. The students hope that the gifts bring joy back into their life and to help the young ladies believe that there are people who still care.
