🍌💛Little hands, real work, and a snack to share! 🍌💛

This sweet series captures one of our toddlers learning to cut a banana into slices and serve them. There is so much learning tucked into this simple everyday task!

In Montessori, food preparation is part of Practical Life. Cutting and serving give children practice with coordination, concentration, sequencing, and independence. Serving others also builds care for our classroom community.

With child-sized tools and a teacher’s guidance, our toddlers get to be capable helpers—and enjoy the pride of “I did it myself!”🙂

🍂🍁Help us grow something wonderful at MELC! 🍁🍂

Our fall mum fundraiser is officially underway, and we have a goal of raising $1,000! Funds raised will help purchase Montessori materials and other room needs for our new Morning Montessori program.

You do not need to have a child enrolled at MELC to participate. If you would like to purchase mums and support early learning in our community, please call MELC to place your order. 260-982-4913

Orders are due October 2, and the mums will arrive October 9.

Our children are also having a friendly competition—Infants and Toddlers vs. Preschoolers and School-Agers—to see which team can sell the most mums! The winning team will celebrate with a special Pajama and Bubble Party.

Purchase some beautiful fall mums, support our children, and help our Morning Montessori classroom bloom! 🍂🍁
