Blessings in a Backpack in NLES Blessings in a Backpack provides elementary school children with a backpack of food to take home for the weekend. Help us feed hungry children!

The Blessings in a Backpack program at North Liberty Elementary School costs approximately $90.00 to feed one child on the weekends for a school year. In August 2015 we began feeding 60 children on the weekends. We finished the 2016/2017 school year assisting 76 children. The need for monetary donations is ongoing and donations of healthy non-perishable food items are also welcomed to supplement t
