FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Thinking about homeschooling or looking for a different educational environment for your child? You may have questions and we’re here to answer them! 💚
Here are some of the questions we hear most often:
❓ What ages does Eaglewood Academy serve?
We welcome learners from age 3 through 12th grade, with learning experiences designed to grow with each stage of development. 👶🏽➡️🎓
❓ Is Eaglewood a traditional school?
Eaglewood combines the flexibility of homeschooling with the structure and community of a learning program. Our goal is to give families another option for educating their children.
❓ What does my child learn?
Students work on core academics such as reading, writing, math, science, and social studies, while also developing skills in financial literacy, nature, survival skills, technology, entrepreneurship, leadership, creativity, and real-world problem solving. 🌱
❓ Will my child just sit at a desk all day?
No! 🙌🏽 We believe children learn in different ways. Our approach includes hands-on projects, nature exploration, activities, collaboration, and real-world learning alongside academic instruction.
❓ What if my child learns at a different pace?
That’s one of the benefits of a more personalized learning environment. We work to understand where a student is academically and provide support and appropriate challenges as they grow. 📚
❓ Will my child have opportunities to socialize?
Absolutely! 🤝🏽 Community, collaboration, group activities, projects, and enrichment are important parts of the Eaglewood experience.
❓ Does Eaglewood accept Step Up For Students scholarships?
Yes! 💚💛 Eaglewood Academy accepts eligible Step Up For Students scholarship funding, helping make educational options more accessible for qualifying families.
❓ Can my child start at age 3?
Yes! Our early learning experience introduces young children to academics through play, exploration, creativity, nature, communication, independence, and hands-on activities. 🌿
❓ What about middle and high school students?
We believe older students need more than academics. Middle and high school students can build study skills, leadership, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, career readiness, communication, technology, and independent-living skills while continuing their academic studies. 🎓
❓ Is homeschooling right for every family?
Every family is different—and that’s okay! Our goal is to help parents explore whether Eaglewood is the right fit for their child’s learning needs, goals, and personality.
