Our very own Miss Dottie’s Greenhouse has been growing something special! 💚 With a little help from all of our amazing children throughout the school, this garden has truly become a school-wide project! 🌱👧🏼👦🏻
Our children helped plant, nurture, water, and watch these little seeds grow—and now we’re so excited to show off some of the fresh veggies and basil from our harvest! 🍅🫑🌿
There’s something so special about getting little hands involved and watching them discover where their food comes from. 🌱❤️ We’re so proud of everything our little gardeners helped grow!

🌳💕 Our Family Trees! 💕🌳

Today, our Preschool friends created their very own family trees! We started by using our handprints to create the brown trunk and branches of our trees. Then, each child practiced saying the names of the special people in their family and glued their family members’ names onto their tree. 🏡❤️

This meaningful activity gave our children an opportunity to talk about the people who are important to them while strengthening family recognition, language and communication skills, sense of identity and belonging, and fine-motor development through gluing and creating.

We loved hearing our preschoolers proudly share all about the people who make their families special! 🌳🥰

A huge THANK YOU to The Carnival Party for helping us celebrate with an AMAZING End of Summer Beach Bash! 🏖️🎉

How have 12 weeks already flown by?! 🥹 We started our summer adventure all the way in California 🌴 and traveled across the country, making it all the way back home to the OCEAN STATE — Rhode Island! ⚓️💙

Thank you to all of our families for sharing such a wonderful, exciting, and fun-filled summer with us. We loved learning, exploring, creating memories, and “traveling” across the USA together! 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙

📖Community Helpers are so important. We also want to take a moment and talk about the importance of Literacy and how Cadence Education has made 2026-2027 their year of Literacy! We had visit from the North Kingstown Library today and they interacted with our Preschool and PreK friends with movement and songs and books to read together!

Literacy Benefits for Preschoolers:

Language & vocabulary: Children learn new words and how to express their thoughts.
Phonological awareness: Rhyming, songs, and sound games help children hear the sounds that eventually make up words.
Letter knowledge: They begin recognizing letters, especially the letters in their own names.
Comprehension: Talking about stories teaches children to predict, remember, sequence, and answer questions.
Early writing: Drawing, scribbling, tracing, and experimenting with letters strengthen the skills needed for writing.
Love of reading: Positive, playful experiences with books help children see reading as something enjoyable.

We cannot wait to make 2026-2027 our year of Literacy! 📖
