Stewartsville POD Day!

Our students recently participated in the school year's first House Pod Day, bringing together podmates from each house to build connections and strengthen our school community. Students had the opportunity to collaborate, get to know one another, and celebrate being part of their house team. The day also focused on important character education traits, including respect and responsibility. We look forward to continuing these experiences throughout the year as students learn, grow, and lead together.

Congrats to the Nobels who earned the most coins for the month of September. Their house had the opportunity to celebrate together in the cafeteria and gym, led by their POD teachers!

This evening, the 2026 Days of Giving will end, but the commitment to our students does not. The opportunity to support our mission with your donations for this event will continue through tonight. However, donations are accepted, with gratitude, throughout the year. Thank you!

For Bud Geissler's family, scholarships facilitated through NSDCF have helped two children in very different ways.

His daughter Molly received $15,000 in scholarship support that helped make it possible for her to attend Indiana University Bloomington and enter its cybersecurity program. His son Traye has been able to draw on his scholarship resources over four years while completing an engineering degree at the University of Akron.

That flexibility matters. College expenses, financial aid and scholarship awards do not always line up neatly, particularly when a family is managing more than one student in college.

In this interview, Bud shares his family's experience with the Foundation's scholarship program and what that support has meant as Molly and Traye have followed their own paths through college.

Watch Bud's story and learn more about the scholarships facilitated through the Norwin School District Community Foundation.

A scholarship can help a Norwin graduate take the next step after high school. It can also preserve the story or legacy that inspired someone to create it.

NSDCF Executive Director and Scholarship Committee Chair Lauren Steiner works with families, alumni and community members who establish scholarships to honor or remember loved ones, give back to Norwin, or encourage students pursuing particular schools, programs and areas of study.

In spring 2026, the Foundation facilitated 45 scholarships and 57 individual awards totaling more than $210,000. Learn more at nsdcf.org or support an existing scholarship at nsdcf.org/giving.

Norwin students rely on school facilities for much more than the hours they spend in a classroom.

In a new video, Norwin School District Superintendent Natalie McCracken discusses the A+ Facilities capital campaign and its work to improve the Performing Arts Center and Knight Stadium. These spaces support student performances, athletics, marching band, presentations, activities and events that bring the Norwin community together throughout the year.

The campaign is a partnership between the Norwin School District and the Norwin School District Community Foundation, with community fundraising helping move the projects forward.

With Days of Giving underway October 5-11, watch McCracken's message to learn more about the A+ Facilities campaign and how contributions can help support these improvements for Norwin students.
