Investing your time in your relationship with your significant other is so important!! Especially when you are stressed and life is crazy. You and your partner need that quality time. Don’t let your partner feel unappreciated, and give your partner the opportunity to make you feel appreciated too!

It might be time for date night if:
- you can’t remember when you last had a date night!!
- you and your partner haven’t had great communication lately
- you’re both feeling overwhelmed
- you only get to spend a little bit of time together each evening and usually you are so tired you just watch TV
- you don’t feel special to your partner
- you don’t feel like you’re making your partner feel special
- you and your partner haven’t complimented each other in a while

Stress and bad sleep is a vicious cycle… Can I get an amen??

Do you ever end the day thinking…
“If I can just get a good night’s sleep, tomorrow will be easier”

..only to be up all night worrying about everything that didn’t get done and everything that you need to do tomorrow? But then, the lack of sleep makes the next day rough. Your brain is foggy. It’s hard to focus. If you’re anything like me, you’ll over-caffeinate to compensate.

Let’s break the cycle together! What do you do to calm your mind so you can fall asleep?

One strategy I use is reading before bed. It allows my mind to disconnect with all the “real stuff” and enter into a totally different space. Reading relaxes me and helps me calm my mind.

If you aren’t sure if you have one, get inspired! I honestly believe that clinging to that non-negotiable is what keeps us human during our most stressful times. It reminds us who we are and helps us get through the tough times.

Being a caregiver is one of those things that is both tough and beautiful at the same time. It is exhausting and life-giving at the same time. It is stressful and joyful at the same time.

Whether you are raising children, caring for aging parents, both or something completely different… I encourage you to write down your gratitude for these beautiful moments with your loved ones and reflect back on them often.

These beautiful moments make all the difficulties feel like nothing. How do you cherish the moments of connection, love, and joy with your loved ones?

If you are feeling burnt out in your care-giving, don’t be afraid to ask for support. Believe me, I know how easy it is to get to that place and feel like there’s no way to get back in control. I have been there, totally burnt out, not feeling like myself at all. I kept note of what worked for me and wrote it all out to help other people have an easier time getting through the stress and overwhelm of burnout.

Before you keep scrolling, take a quick pause and remember that your feed is the BEST, most glamorous, perfectly selected images and videos that your friends and those you follow have. This is not their everyday life. These are their favorite moments. It’s what they want everyone to see.

There is nothing wrong with sharing your best moments, your favorite moments, or your most fun and exciting moments on social media. Just know that wherever you are at right now, whatever you’re wearing, whether or not you did your makeup, or even if you have had time to shower yet today… you’re all good. You’re doing what you need to do. You’re making a difference. You’re bringing value into this world.

So, please, don’t for a second think you aren’t measuring up. Okay, you can keep scrolling now.
