Community Engagement with QU Athletics! 💙

Our School of Nursing students had the opportunity to support Quinnipiac Athletics by assisting with Pre-Participation Physical Evaluations (PPEs)! They gained hands-on experience while helping assess whether athletes were safe to participate in their sports.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered and helped make this opportunity possible! Go Bobcats! 🩺🐾

SON Community Engagement was proud to participate in Hamden National Night Out!

Our volunteers taught community members how to respond in an emergency through Stop the Bleed®, Narcan administration, and EpiPen training. We also helped promote bike safety by distributing free bike helmets to local families.

A huge thank you to Hamden Police Department for hosting this incredible event. We are also so grateful to our amazing student volunteers! 🚴

SON Community Engagement and QU EMS volunteers had the opportunity to teach Stop the Bleed® to about 40 community members at Norwalk's Community Day!

A heartfelt thank you to all of our dedicated volunteers, the Foundation of Hope, and everyone who stopped by our table. Together, we're building a safer, healthier community. ❤️

From practicing Narcan administration and EpiPen use to experiencing goggles that simulate the effects of alcohol and drug impairment, our Explore Nursing Summer Camp students explored the critical role nurses play in emergency care. 🩺💙

This week, our Explore Nursing Summer Camp students participated in hands-on, experiential learning for cardiac care.🚑

A special thank you to the paramedics from North Haven Fire Department for collaborating with us and leading a field response simulation. Your expertise gave our students an unforgettable opportunity to apply their knowledge in a real-world emergency scenario.
