Today we’re celebrating our oceans, the animals who call them home, and the little learners who will help shape a brighter future.

At our school, we believe kindness extends beyond the classroom — to our friends, families, communities, and the world around us.

Looking for a simple way to celebrate with your child today? Try reading a book about ocean animals, taking a family walk to pick up litter, using a reusable water bottle, or talking about why clean water matters.

Small moments like these help children build curiosity, kindness, and care for the world around them. 💙

As summer approaches we wanted to include water safety into our curriculum. We reached out to our local Martar Swim School to come out and do just that💦 They did a wonderful job explaining the rules in and by the water.

Here are some of the things we talked about:
🏊 Always swimming with a grown-up
🦺 Wearing life jackets when needed
🚫 Never running near the water
📢 Calling for help in an emergency

Building water safety awareness at an early age helps children develop confidence and good habits that can last a lifetime. We are so proud of our preschoolers for being great listeners and enthusiastic participants!

It’s Child Safety Week! 🛡️

Safety starts with the small things we practice every day: holding hands in the parking lot, walking feet in the classroom, kind reminders from teachers, and knowing when to ask a trusted adult for help.

We’re proud to create a safe, caring environment where children can explore, learn, and grow with confidence.

Our amazing Pre-k students are going to kindergarten in the fall 📚We have been truly inspired watching them flourish and grow with us at Coastal Academy Otranto. We have every confidence they will achieve all their dreams and so much more ✨❤️ Congratulations class of 2026 🎉 🎓

It's Nature week and our friends had an incredible time today washing animals and using their footprints to create amazing artwork 🎨

We will be closed on Monday, May 25th, in observance of Memorial Day. We look forward to seeing you when we reopen for normal business hours on Tuesday!

Today is National Day Without Child Care — a day that reminds us just how important child care is for families, children, and communities.

Our schools are open today, and we’re proud to continue supporting the families who rely on us each day. We also recognize the meaning behind this day and the awareness it brings to an important truth: child care is critical infrastructure that supports families, workplaces, and communities.

This effort also reinforces the need for greater investment in child care, so the cost of care does not continue to fall entirely on families and providers.

To our teachers and school teams: thank you for the love, patience, and care you bring into our classrooms every day. You make a difference for children and families in so many meaningful ways. 💙
