A little over a year ago I fully committed to a dream to support families, educators, and teams collaborate in the best interest of students. I left behind security, comfort, and the joy of teaching. While I had been doing this work for quite some time, it was time to take it to the next level. Opening my office in North Andover, as a part of the community I care about so much, and supporting clients all over Massachusetts, Southern NH, and beyond has been a privilege. Teaching parents how to be a true member of their child's educational team has been wonderful. This school year alone, I have been lucky enough to be a part of over 50 student education teams. Collaboration is hard sometimes, but if you stay rooted in student needs and the protective regulations that the state of Massachusetts gives students, true equity at the IEP/504 table can be achieved. I thank my clients who have trusted me with a even a small part of their child's education and wish everyone a supported and successful end of the 25/26 school year!

✨ Mid-Year School Check-In for Parents ✨

We’re officially halfway through the school year—and this is a critical moment to pause and ask:
👉 Is my child actually making progress?

I’m offering FREE 30-minute consultations for parents who want support reviewing school-year data (IEPs, progress reports, evaluations, teacher feedback) and determining whether adjustments are needed for the remainder of the year.

This is a great opportunity to:

✔️ Identify gaps or concerns early
✔️ Plan next steps with confidence
✔️ Advocate proactively—before the year slips away

📊 Report cards are not enough. Parents need real data.

Grades do not show whether a child is making progress on IEP goals. They often don’t align with special education services at all.

In Massachusetts, districts are required to collect data to drive instruction, and parents have a legal right to access that data. Progress monitoring should be ongoing, goal-specific, and used to adjust services when a child isn’t making progress.

If you’re not seeing clear data, that’s a red flag 🚩.

💬 New clients: I offer a free 30-minute consultation to help parents request data, understand what it should include, and determine next steps.

📚 Mid-Year School Check-In for Parents

We’re halfway through the school year, which makes this a great time to ask: Is my child making real progress?

Parents have the right to request updated data from their child’s school at any time—progress monitoring, assessments, work samples, and service information. Reviewing this data helps determine whether current supports are working.

If you have concerns, now is also the time to request updated evaluations so they can be completed by spring and inform planning before next school year.

Not sure what to ask for or how to interpret what you receive? I can help.
