This was the first show that really allowed us to utilize the new CNC machine in the Scenic Studio. All those wonderful neon signs were made using the CNC and filled with neon flex. Three pinball machines were built from scratch by team Properties.

why applesauce? In 8am Drafting class Caitlin Coffin excitedly said “Happy Opening” and at the same time spilled her applause all over the “clean” floor in OSH drafting studio. For the next three years, Applesauce was synonymous with “Happy Opening”. Thank You Caitlin

Not so fun fact… Winter weather wreaked havoc on out production run and we only performed three of the eight public performances.

Ethan Hartman’s Design for Coram Boy was exhibited at the National USITT conference and published in the USITT journal TD&T, winter 2015 (USITT)
Ethan also received the following awards for his scenic design:
Region 6 KCACTF Award for Theatrical Design Excellence in Scenic Design (2014 ACTF)
Certificate of Excellence in Scenic Design (2014 USITT-SW)
The National Partners of the American Theater Award for Design Award (2014 National Festival for KCACTF in Washington, DC)
