My first People of The Prairie project partner is Grace Rivers Counseling Center. Not an image of an actual client but a representation of girls and women struggling with depression and self-harm. The seeds represent wounds and the growth and healing of walking through the darkness to find the glimmers of hope and healing.

These are a few mixed media paintings I've done for people at no charge because it helped them mourn a loss, celebrate a life, lessen a little of the hard and hurting in our world. I recently was selected as a finalist for the Paseo Feast to continue my portrait painting project (hopefully with a little funding to help replenish art supplies) so I can keep spreading the love, one beautiful face at a time. Tickets for the feast are $30.00 and all attendees get to vote and help fund the selected artist's project. If selected I will continue to paint portraits at no cost to participants making art accessible to anyone. I've also given my contact information to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and offered to paint victims of homicide for their family members. The exhibit will be titled "People of The Prairie". I want to show the beauty and diversity in the people who call Oklahoma home and capture their spirits and their stories.
