Byron, arguably the youngest person in attendance at the conference was able to answer our question. We game him a and some hands on training! We still have quite a few things to hand out. Come see us!

With this being we found it fitting that to share this story from the himself. It just goes to show that s**t can happen anywhere at anytime to anyone. Posted • I’m going to preface this with, Gunnar is ok.

Reality check: never did I think I was going to have to apply a TQ to my own son.
•
Gunnar tried to jump the baby gate on the stairs, it collapsed with him landing on it. The puncture wound to his upper thigh had all the hallmarks of a femoral bleed, to which we applied a and a pressure dressing while handled the 911 call like a champ. Thankfully the bleed was controlled quickly and there was zero vascular damage.

It can happen to anyone, we will forever have the adults and able bodied children in the home trained and stocked up on trauma med supplies.

Due to COVID-19, has decided to go virtual with their conference this year. Now anyone in the world can attend and get some cutting edge CEUs. Times are tough and it’s definitely made training opportunities hard for everyone but this is definitely a win. Best part, Apollo Training Group will be presenting one of the lectures. Some of you may know that us here at love the outdoors and have been heavily involved in for a while. We are super pumped that has asked us to help with some of their courses. We have two Wilderness First Responder Refresher courses listed on the website. June 14-15 and October 24-25. If you currently hold a Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certification you can re-certify though SOLO for 3 years.

was started because over the years we saw a deficiency in the training that we were attending. Long story short, we knew we could do better. 2020 is shaping up to be a big year for all involved with Apollo. With that, here is a little project we have been working on over the last few weeks. Stay tuned for the full length video. Special thanks to for all the hard work dealing with our while he worked tirelessly to film these videos.

We recently had the opportunity to travel to with and were able to try skills out on some of their task trainers and models. Hands down this is the best synthetic tissue we’ve ever used.
