August 19 will always be a special day in my heart because two very special people came into this world on this day. ❤️

Happy Birthday to my niece, Aubs Cooper, and to Kimberly Ann, who was not only my best friends sister, but someone I loved like another little sister of my own.

Two completely different lives. Two beautiful souls. And two people who have each left their own unique imprint on the people who love them.

Aubrey, I pray this next year continues to show you just how strong, capable, beautiful, and deeply loved you are. I hope you keep discovering who you are, dreaming big, laughing loudly, and never forgetting that your voice and your life matter.

And Kim, although we don’t get to celebrate your birthday with you here, you are still remembered, still talked about, still loved, and still very much a part of the hearts of those who knew you. I hope heaven is celebrating you extra big today. ❤️

Today I’m simply grateful that August 19 gave this world both of you.

Happy Birthday, beautiful girls. 🎂👑❤️

Some people leave fingerprints on our lives that time can never erase.

Rest peacefully Kimberly Dunn. 💕🫶

❤️

After nearly eight years of worsening symptoms, abnormal labs, multiple doctors, countless tests, being dismissed, and advocating HARD for myself…

I finally have clarity.

I’ve officially been diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, an autoimmune disease that attacks the thyroid.

Thankfully, my thyroid is still functioning within the normal range, so right now I’m focusing on what I can control: reducing stress, staying consistent with movement, and experimenting with nutrition to learn what makes my body feel its best.

That means temporarily eliminating gluten, dairy, soy, added sugar, caffeine, and alcohol and then slowly reintroducing things one at a time.

This is definitely going to be a journey. 😂

And I’m going to share some of it because maybe another woman needs to hear this:

If you know something feels wrong, keep advocating for yourself. ❤️

Anyone else navigating Hashimoto’s or autoimmune issues?

I used to think progress had to look dramatic.

A big win. A major breakthrough. Something worth announcing.

But lately, I’ve been learning that some of the most important progress happens quietly.

It looks like making a different decision than you would have made a year ago.

Having the conversation you used to avoid.

Taking care of something you’ve been putting off.

Choosing peace instead of proving a point.

Taking one small step toward the life you keep saying you want.

Nobody may applaud it. Nobody may even notice it.

But you know you’re not the same person you used to be.

And sometimes, that’s the win. ❤️

What’s one way you’ve grown lately that probably wouldn’t look like a “big deal” to anyone else?

It’s 82° outside with humidity at 77% and all he wants to do is chill outside.

I’m inside with the air on 66° and still warm. 🤦‍♀️

Anyhow, Happy Sunday!!

Sometimes the hardest person to tell the truth to is ourselves.

For years, I convinced myself that if I stayed busy enough, strong enough, and smiled enough, eventually the hurt would disappear.

It didn’t.

What began changing my life wasn’t pretending the pain never existed.

It was having the courage to face it.

Healing doesn’t begin when life suddenly becomes easy.

It begins the moment we stop running from what we’ve been carrying.

Maybe today isn’t about having all the answers.

Maybe it’s simply about taking one honest step forward.

One conversation.

One prayer.

One boundary.

One decision.

One moment of courage.

Because sometimes one small step is all it takes to begin changing the direction of your life.

Your story isn’t over. ❤️

I don’t know about y’all, but 44 is off to a pretty amazing start! ❤️

Thank you to everyone who took the time to celebrate with me, send a message, make a phone call, or simply think of me over the weekend. Every text, call, hug, laugh, and birthday wish meant more than you know.

Life has taught me that birthdays aren’t about having everything go perfectly. They’re about taking a moment to appreciate the people who show up, the memories you make, and the gift of another year.

Last night was filled with great food, lots of laughter, and some incredible people. I truly felt loved, and I’m so grateful for each of you.

Here’s to another year of faith, family, friendships, purpose, and making memories together. I can’t wait to see what 44 has in store!

Thank you all for helping make my birthday so special. ❤️🎉

Today I turn 44.

There was a time I wasn’t sure I would ever become the woman standing in these photos.

Life hasn’t always been easy. There have been seasons filled with heartbreak, disappointment, fear, financial struggles, loss, and moments that tested me in ways I never imagined.

But God…

He never stopped walking beside me.

Somehow, through it all, I’ve learned to laugh again.
I’ve learned to trust again.
I’ve learned to dream again.
I’ve learned that healing isn’t about pretending the past didn’t happen. It’s about refusing to let it define your future.

This year, I’m celebrating more than another birthday.

I’m celebrating peace.
I’m celebrating growth.
I’m celebrating resilience.
I’m celebrating the woman I’ve become because I chose not to give up.

I’ve taken better care of myself physically, emotionally, spiritually, and mentally than I ever have before. Not because life suddenly became easy, but because I finally realized I’m worth taking care of.

So here’s to 44.

More faith.
More purpose.
More laughter.
More adventures.
More love.
More life.

Because if there’s one thing I’ve learned…

The best chapters aren’t always the first ones.

Sometimes they’re the ones you never thought you’d get to write.

THIS IS 44!!

And I can’t wait to see what God has in store. ❤️🎉

Life insurance isn’t for you. It’s for the people who would have to keep living if something happened to you.

Too many families think the policy through work is enough.

In many cases, it isn’t.

If you have a spouse, children, a mortgage, or people who depend on your income, take a few minutes to ask yourself:

• Would my family have enough to replace my income?
• Could they stay in our home?
• Would they have money to pay off debts?
• Does my policy include living benefits if I became critically, chronically, or terminally ill?

Life insurance isn’t about expecting the worst.

It’s about making sure the people you love are protected no matter what life brings.

If you’re not sure what you have or whether it’s enough, let’s have a conversation.
