$5,000 per year up to 4 Years Annually for a total value of $20,000 Scholarship

African American Male

Four-Year Accredited College/University-bound high school seniors.

Students must be enrolled in college by Fall 2022 to receive the scholarship.

A minimum grade point average of 2.5 (C+) is required.

The student’s high school transcript and essay must accompany the application.

Proof of Voter Registration based on eligibility to vote in November 2022.

Children/dependents of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity members are not eligible for this scholarship.

This scholarship opportunity is open to students from Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Suffolk, Portsmouth, and Chesapeake. Also, this year for the first time, students outside of those jurisdictions but regular participants of the Alpha Scholars program may apply as well. Feel free to distribute this application to any deserving young man you may know who is not a family member.

The deadline for submission is April 11, 2022.

We're just one week away from the start of a New Community Resource Expo providing something for all our Neighbors in Norfolk.

The Expo will include a Back-to-School Supplies Giveaway, Vaccination Event, On-the-Spot hiring in our Jobs Square, Games & Prizes, Fun in our Children's Zone, Food Trucks, Live Entertainment by Better By Tuesday and much, much more! Our kids are in need and we are here to meet the challenge! Join us TODAY!!

We are asking for donations of School Supplies for the Norfolk Public School Students - Grades 6-12.

In addition to the School Supply Drive, we have about 50 Food Boxes on hand to give to those in need.

Please join us at the Alpha Leadership and Education Center to drop off school supplies or to pick up a food box on Saturday, August 21 from 10-12p.

Additionally, we’re asking for your help to spread the word around town. 🙏🏽
