Today closes out year 12 in education! Certainly a bittersweet moment as I pulled out of 6325 for the last time (for now). I am grateful for the 2.5 years I’ve spent with the Navigator family. I’ve learned a lot about leading, as well as myself! I am thankful for continued personal growth and the ability to serve in the way I have been assigned to. Goodbye year 12 and “see you later” Navigator family! Thank you to my colleagues for pushing me into being great! Thank you, NPS, for the opportunity and support!
Now on the road to EC!

For questions or consideration, please contact Jonathan Snead at [email protected]. We look forward to GROWING with you!

One thing I think we should have learned as a community over the past few days is that communication directed in the wrong direction can be even more dangerous than not communicating at all.
“If you see something, say something [to the right person].”
Social media is a valuable tool when used correctly. When used improperly, though, it has the potential to be destructing.

& - Big thanks to my sister-in-law for working her magic on my office! It certainly feels like an entirely different space!

I want to take a moment to shout out the Departments of Transportation for our local school systems. Though it’s frustrating through this driver shortage, the driver that you see picking up and dropping off your young person is not the problem… That driver you see has decided to show up! When you see a bus driver, don’t verbally attack them for this frustrating season. Instead, simply say, “Thank you!” This person has made the decision to take one of the toughest jobs in education and continue to be the first point of contact to your child for our school districts. As an Administrator, I see the tapes from the busses (and they have audio!). Take a moment to tell a bus driver “thank you”!
Can I challenge you to write a nice note to your child’s bus driver? A $5 Starbucks card? They are truly the “movers of precious cargo” and they deserve it!

Our teachers returned today!!! 🎉🎉🎉
We were so excited to see our staff in person today. This is my first true year working in the summer to plan for the upcoming year and I am BEAT! 😂
Today, I asked the question of our teachers regarding their most memorable teacher. Who was the most impactful (positive or negative)? 👨🏾🏫 Why did you choose teaching? What inspires you to keep going?!
For you reading this, who was your most memorable teacher and what impact did they have on you?
I look forward to your comments below!

One thing about me? I’m going to have a good time! I once read, “a day without laughter is a day wasted!” Trust me when I say… I don’t like to waste days!
Here I am showing a parent my invisible “No Parents Beyond Here” line. She was so nervous about dropping her new 6th grader off, but I was able to speak with her, we shared a laugh, and she was able to see that there are people at NMS that truly care about children!
I look forward to a great year! Every day won’t be all smiles, but one must remember to seek out the rainbow even in the midst of the storm.
