Sierra Kunigus is reaching for the stars. đź’«
After stepping away from college and exploring different paths, she came to Bucks County Community College determined to build a meaningful future.
What followed was a journey of academic excellence, leadership and discovery. The 4.0 honors graduate founded the Astronomy Club, served in student government, earned membership in Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, conducted published research and delivered the student commencement address at Bucks' 60th Annual Commencement.
After earning her Associate of Science degree, Sierra will continue her studies in physics and astrophysics at East Texas A&M University, with plans to pursue a career in cosmochemistry and help others explore the universe.
With a bright future ahead, her journey is just beginning. Congratulations, Sierra! ✨

Hanna McMenamin made it look easy.
Through determination, heart, and countless hours of hard work, Hanna juggled school, 30-hour workweeks, and fieldwork in elementary classrooms, all while earning a 4.0 GPA.
Active in the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, Hanna was named to the 2026 All-Pennsylvania Academic Team, along with a tuition waiver covering the final two years of her bachelor’s degree through Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education.
Next stop: West Chester University of PA, where she will continue studying Early Childhood Education.

On Wednesday, May 20, we celebrated the 72 graduates of our Associate Degree Nursing program during their heartfelt pinning ceremony.
Surrounded by proud family, friends, faculty and alumni, the graduates were welcomed into the nursing profession in recognition of their hard work, dedication, compassion and perseverance. They earned every bit of this achievement. Congratulations! 🩺 💙

On May 21, Bucks County Community College proudly celebrated the Class of 2026 at its 60th Commencement, awarding 924 associate degrees and certificates across two inspiring ceremonies.
The day was filled with Centurion pride as students heard from speakers Sierra Kunigus and Lia Peralta Joa, who shared powerful reflections on growth, perseverance, and gratitude.
From academic achievement to personal transformation, the exemplifies determination in action. 🎓💙

Kassandra Castillo returned to school after the loss of her father, determined to honor his final wish: to finish her education and pursue her dreams.
While balancing motherhood, work and college, she became editor-in-chief of The Centurion, earned journalism honors and built a future for herself and her daughter.
Now, as a member of the Class of 2026, she hopes her story reminds others that it’s never too late to start again.

At their pinning ceremony, we recognized the hard work, dedication, and perseverance it took to complete this rigorous 21-month program. From coursework and labs to clinical training and hands-on experience, these students are prepared to enter the field of diagnostic imaging as skilled Radiologic Technologists.

Ethan Greco turned personal challenges into purpose during his time at Bucks County Community College.
Through perseverance, mentorship and campus involvement, Ethan became one of Bucks’ most engaged students, earning the College’s “Most Engaged Student” recognition for two consecutive years.
On May 21, he will graduate with an associate degree in environmental science before continuing at Delaware Valley University and beginning his new role as an environmental educator at Churchville Nature Center.
